Baccarat strategy

How much do you know about Baccarat?

Do you know that this game has been around for century?

Baccarat originates in Europe in the 15th century. Due to the simplicity of the game, it has attracted many players from all around the world.

Baccarat strategy does not involve card counting.  It is a simple game compared to Poker.

You do not need to remember so many rules of the game.

You can bet on either sides of the game. That means you can bet on Player side, Banker side or Tie. You can place a bet on Tie, with a bet on Player, or Banker.

Before we consider Baccarat strategy, let us look at the game itself.

Baccarat game

The game is very simple. The dealer deals two cards to the Player and the Banker. The dealer may or may not be the Banker.

In Baccarat, there are just two sides. The aim of both parties is to get nearest to 9. When the sum of both cards is 15, we count only the last digit, which is 5.

If the cards of the player add to 16, and the cards of the Banker have the combined value of 18, the Banker wins.

Some cards have a value of 0, such as 10, J, Q, K. An Ace is considered as 1.

In many games, there is a need to draw a third card.

The rules for drawing a third card are quite complex, since both banker and player have different rules for drawing a third card.

The only time when a third card is not needed is when either party has a sum of 8 or 9.

Baccarat strategy

The winning is in the ratio of 1:1 when you win on Banker or Player.

That means when you place $10, you get back your money plus a winning of $10 when you win.

However, when you win on Banker, there is usually a commission.

If the commission is 95%, you will get back only $9.50 for every $10 you win.

If you bet on Tie, the winning ratio is higher. You are likely to get back $90 when you bet $10.

What is the working Baccarat strategy?

No single Baccarat strategy works all the time. You need to find one Baccarat strategy that helps you win most of the times.

One working Baccarat strategy is this:

Let us assume that the Player wins 4 times in a row. You start to place bet only when you see this scenario.

You place bet on the Banker.

You put down $20.

The Player wins again. Since you have lost the initial $20, you need to double up to win.

You need to play with $40 and places it on the Banker side.

In the event that the Player wins, you lose a total of $60. In this case, you need to play with $80.

The likelihood of the Player winning 10 times continuously is very low. As long as you keep doubling up, and win before you hit the table maximum, you can make a profit of $20.

This Baccarat strategy requires patience and money. The doubling up method is the one that helps you win. However, it is also a risky method due to the fact that table limit exists, and you may not have enough money to double up every time.

If you want to employ this strategy, you have to wait until either side wins 4 times in a row. You do not play until you have this condition. It is hard to stand aside and watch the others winning.

The only Baccarat strategy that never works is to bet on a Tie. While you win $9 for every dollar you bet, it is simply not worth. You will lose more than you win.

Is flat betting a good Baccarat strategy?

Some people advocate flat betting. However, flat betting cannot win in the long run.

Flat betting means you place the same bet every single game. You do not increase or decrease the bet.

The fact is that Baccarat is a 50 50 game. That means if you employ flat betting, the best is to break even.

The house edge is very low, and that is the reason the commission for Banker side exists.

Another Baccarat strategy is the 1, 3, 2, 6 method. I do not recommend this when you are on a losing cycle.

Let us see how this Baccarat strategy works.

You play with $10. Let us assume you lose it.

In the second round, you play with another $30. You lose again. The total loss is $40 now.

In the third round, you play with $20, and let us assume you lose again. The total loss is $60.

In the fourth round, you play with $60, and let us assume that you win. You break even at this point.

That means you lose 3 times, win 1 time to make a break even.

Let us assume that you win the first round, you make a profit of $10.

You play with $30 in the second round, and lose the game. You have a net loss of $20.

In the third round, you play with $20, and win. You break even at this point.

In the fourth round, you play with $60 and lose. You are in the red for $60.

In the fifth round, you are back to $10 bet. You can break even when you win the next three rounds.

This Baccarat strategy has the advantage of keeping the cost low. It is different from the doubling up method describes earlier.
